Running out of things to do this summer...
It's still early in the summer break, but I still here kids all over saying "I'm bored, what can I do". This is a pretty common thing in many houses this time of year. You can always head over to one of the many pools in the area or to a park (remember to put the sunscreen on and load up on the water) or you can check out http://www.kckidsfun.com/ . You can find both outdoor and indoor activities that are fun for the whole family! Enjoy the rest of your summer!

Still Need Some More Volunteers!!!
Hope everyone's summer is off to a great start! School may be out of session but we are still planning for the upcoming year.
There are several PTA committees that are in need of a Chairperson or Chair-people for the upcoming 2011-2012 school year. If we are unable to fill the Chairperson Spots we will not be able to have the activity available to our students. The following positions are available:
Project Preschool -Sept. 22 1:30pm-2:30 pm, Nov. 18 1:30pm-2:30pm, Jan. 26 1:30pm-2:30pm, May 11 2:00pm-3:00pm- 1 Coordinator needed, but could be shared between 1-4 people. This position requires a small amount of planning time prior to the events and would be ideal for a parent or parent figure that stays home or works part-time.
Sidewalk Chalk/Chili Cookoff- Oct 7, 5:30pm-7:00pm - The position for the Sidewalk Chalk has been filled, but we still need someone to run the Chili Cook-Off part.
Citizenship and Reflections Contests announced at later date - This position promotes the Citizenship and Reflections contests at our school and coordinates submissions to go to the school district.
Carnival/Fun Run- April 13, 5:30pm-8:00pm- This year Carnival and Fun Run are being combined into one event. It is very importatant that we fill 3-4 spots for this committee, the kids love Carnival/Fun Run.
Staff Appreciation We currently have one Chairperson and are in need of two more for various staff appreciation events throughout the year.
Special Projects This position is needed to run various errands and help set up smaller events.

If you are able to help out and Chair or help Chair one or more of the following committees please contact Erin Anderson at e_anderson09@yahoo.com .
