What makes a great PTA?? Adult Participation. It's that simple, but that difficult.
We all know that in most schools it's about 20% of the parents doing 80% of the volunteering. We also know that that 20% can get burned out very easily.
The easiest way to stop burn out is to have more parents involved. Our schedules are jammed packed with work, family life, sports, activities, birthdays, aging parents, bills etc, and we know it's difficult to step up sometimes and take on the challenge of adding one more thing to the list.
If you have signed up for PTA, you are probably looking for some way to be involved at your child's school. We currently have 124 members in the East Antioch PTA and if we can get each of you to volunteer to do one thing this year, we can guarantee a successful and fun year at East Antioch. If you have already filled out a volunteer form, thank you. If you are thinking about what to do, send us an email at eastantiochpantherpta@gmail.com with your contact information and let us know you are willing to help, how much time you have to dedicate. After that, someone will contact you with ideas.
